💼 Role Overview
Mastercard is hiring a BizOps Engineer I to join its Cloud Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working in production environments, handling incident management, monitoring infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability.
You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting mission-critical systems used globally.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
As a BizOps Engineer, you will:

Work in 24x7 shift operations

Monitor infrastructure health using monitoring tools
-
Handle incident response and troubleshooting
-
Manage escalations following defined procedures
-
Communicate effectively through tickets, calls, and incident updates
-
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve recurring issues
-
Ensure SLA compliance and operational stability
-
Maintain runbooks and operational documentation
-
Ensure smooth shift handovers
-
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports

🔹 Core Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experience with incident management and production support

Understanding of infrastructure and application monitoring

Commands: vi/vim, netstat, ps/top, free, dstat

Filesystems, fstab, disk management

SELinux, sudo, audit logging

Performance tools: sar, vmstat, iostat
